The 20 strongest Pokémon of all time ranked.

The best pokemon of all time ranked is a list of the 20 strongest Pokémon in the history of the franchise. It was created by a user on Reddit and has been updated with new entries every year since 2013.

Pokémon is an ever-expanding universe, with new species being introduced to the series on a regular basis. Despite the influx of strangers, certain Pokémon have stood the test of time and have proved to be more powerful and stronger than others. They are most closely linked with the origin tales of the Pokémon universe, which explains why they have stood the test of time. Today, we’ll provide you with a list of the franchise’s five most powerful Pokémon.

Pokémon, short for Pocket Monsters, is a 1995 Japanese video game series developed by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori. It’s a fantasy series set in a world where people coexist with animals known as Pokémon, who come in a variety of forms and sizes. It began as a series of video games for the Game Boy system, but it quickly grew to include various forms of media. The most popular items nowadays are video games and anime (including related films), but the brand has grown to include live-action features such as Pokémon Detective Pikachu.

Let’s take a look at the twenty most powerful Pokémon in the series now that we’ve given you a brief introduction.

The 20 most powerful Pokémon of all time

20) Ditto

Why not, after all? We begin with an unexpected choice, but Ditto is a really wonderful Pokémon and an example of Generation I’s ingenuity that has yet to be surpassed. We believe Ditto is very helpful due of his ability to change into anything.

Ditto is a Pokémon of the Normal type that first appeared in Generation I. There is no evidence that it can evolve into or from any other Pokémon. It may mate with any Pokémon other than those in the Undiscovered group and other Ditto to produce Eggs of the other’s species, even those Pokémon with uncertain gender. Ditto’s transformation ability, which allows him to change into any other Pokémon or item, is what makes him so unique. He’ll never be as powerful as the original, but if you ask us, he’s quite handy, which is why he’s on our list.

Ditto has made numerous appearances in the anime, the most well-known of which being Duplica’s Ditto, who initially debuted in the anime’s first season. There have been many more Dittos in the story, and we even got to see a Shiny Ditto (blue-colored, owned by Narissa) in the anime.

Alakazam (19)

1632813686_791_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Alakazam is one of the finest Pokémon in the game when it comes to ordinary Pokémon. This Psychic-type Pokémon from Generation I has excellent attacking powers, is very clever, and even has a Mega Evolution that is even more strong, making it incredibly intriguing.

Alakazam is a Pokémon of the Psychic type that first appeared in Generation I. It is one of the franchise’s most powerful non-(Pseudo-)-Legendary (Psychic) Pokémon. It is Abra’s last evolution, which occurs after leveling up a traded Kadabra; Abra evolved into Kadabra at level 16. Using an Alakazite, Alakazam can develop into Mega Alakazam.

The Pokémon has made many appearances in the anime and has always been a tough opponent. Luana, a Gym leader who specializes in double fights, has a noteworthy Alakazam. In the games, the Pokémon had high ATK numbers but was extremely poor defensively, necessitating a smart tactical strategy while dealing with him. He could only be obtained via trade, which made it tough for those who didn’t have access to another player.

Eon Duo (nineteen)

1632813687_820_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

The Eon Duo refers to the Latios and Latias, who are also known as the Lati Twins. Despite the fact that they are weaker than most other Legendary Pokémon and even certain Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, they appeared in Generation III and were very helpful with reasonably excellent stats, which is why we have included them here.

Latios is a Generation III Legendary Pokémon with the dual types of Dragon and Psychic. Latios may Mega Evolve into Mega Latios utilizing the Latiosite, despite not being able to evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Latias is a Generation III Legendary Pokémon with the dual types of Dragon and Psychic. Latias may Mega Evolve into Mega Latias utilizing the Latiasite, despite not being able to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

Both Latios and Latias have made appearances in the anime, first in their own film and then in the series; their Mega evolutions have also made appearances. They were very valuable additions to your squad in the games, and you could only get one of them in a given game (meaning you had to trade the other from another game).

17) Spectacular Birds

1632813688_685_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

The Legendary Birds, although not as powerful as other Legendary Pokémon and even some more powerful Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, nevertheless manage to pack a punch when required, which is why they earn a place on our list. Furthermore, they are an important part of Kanto’s mythology.

Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are referred to as the Legendary Birds together. The Winged Mirages are another name for them. Legendary Wings have been given to their Galarian counterparts in the Crown Tundra. Articuno is a Legendary Pokémon that is dual-typed (Ice/Flying) and first appeared in Generation I. Articuno has a Psychic/Flying regional form in Galar.

In Generation I, Zapdos was introduced as a dual-type Electric/Flying Legendary Pokémon. Zapdos has a Fighting/Flying regional form in Galar. Moltres is a Legendary Fire/Flying Pokémon that debuted in Generation I. Moltres has a Dark/Flying regional variant in Galar.

They’ve appeared in a number of animated programs, mostly in movies, although not solely as of late. They are attainable (but only one of each) in the games, but you must go to distant or hidden places and do your best to locate and capture them.

16) Mythical Beasts

1632813689_876_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

The Legendary Beats were introduced in Generation II as Kanto’s Legendary Birds for that generation; they even had the same kinds as the birds. They were created by Ho-Oh and are generally regarded as guardians of the Johto area.

Raikou is a Legendary Pokémon of the Electric type that debuted in Generation II. There is no evidence that it can evolve into or from any other Pokémon. It is one of the Legendary creatures revived by Ho-Oh after the destruction of the Brass Tower, with Entei and Suicune. Raikou, one of the three Legendary Beasts, is believed to symbolize the lightning bolt that sparked the fire that destroyed the Brass Tower. Entei is a Legendary Pokémon of the Fire type that debuted in Generation II.

There is no evidence that it can evolve into or from any other Pokémon. The flames that engulfed the Brass Tower are believed to be Entei. Suicune is a Legendary Water-type Pokémon who debuted in Generation II. There is no evidence that it can evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Suicune is believed to symbolize the rains that doused the Brass Tower’s blazing embers.

We’ve seen the Legendary Beasts in the anime, both in the show and in the movies; we’ve even seen their Shiny versions in the anime, which is a rare occurrence in the series. Suicune was acquired via a chance meeting when wandering about the Johto area or at the Tower (in Crystal), whereas the other two were discovered while wandering around the Johto region.

Salamence (number 15)

20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Now we’ll look at a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, which are often more powerful than genuine Legendary Pokémon. Salamence, the Generation III primary Dragon-type Pokémon, is an example of a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon.

Salamence is a dual-type Dragon/Flying Pokémon with outstanding stats. Despite a significant vulnerability to Ice-type techniques, it is a superb combatant and extremely powerful when compared to most other ordinary Pokémon. Bagon and Shelgon’s ultimate evolution, it develops from Shelgon at level 50. Using the Salamencite, it may develop into Mega Salamence. Salamence is one of the greatest Pokémon in the game, while being very tough to acquire.

Salamence has made many appearances in the anime and has always been a tough opponent. The Salamence held by Drake, the Elite Four’s Dragon Master, and the one owned by the evil J are two of the most well-known Salamence in the series.

Tyranitar (#14)

1632813690_0_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Another Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, this time from Generation II, joins our list. Tyranitar and its evolution line “replaced” the Dratini line from Generation I as the strongest non-legendary Pokémon in the generation, despite the fact that it is not a Dragon-type Pokémon.

Tyranitar is a Generation II Pokémon with dual Rock/Dark types that originally debuted in Johto. Tyranitar is a massive dinosaur that, when the Dark type was initially introduced in Generation II, was the series’ strongest Dark-type Pokémon for a while. It is the culmination of the Larvitar and Pupitar evolutions, having evolved from the latter at level 55. It develops into Mega Tyranitar if you use a Tyranitarite on it. It is tough to acquire, like Salamence, yet it is one of the most powerful Pokémon in the games.

Tyranitar and its evolution line have featured in the anime on many times, the most notable example being Ash’s Larvitar’s mother Tyranitar, who initially appeared in a flashback and then reappeared so that Ash could return the Larvitar to her.

Dragonite (number 13)

1632813691_981_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

The non-Legendary or Mythical Pokémon on this list is Dragonite. Dragonite was the series’ first Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, and despite being a Generation I Pokémon, he is still one of the most powerful in the genre.

Dragonite is a dual Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon that debuted in Generation I as the generation’s strongest non-Legendary Pokémon. He has tiny wings and is a large pale orange dragon. Dratini and Dragonair’s ultimate evolution, he evolved from Dragonair at level 55. Despite its difficulty in obtaining, Dragonite is a valuable addition to your squad and one of the finest Pokémon you may have. Dragonite does not have a Mega Evolution or a Gigantamax form, unlike many other Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon.

Because of their benign nature, Dragonites often assist and collaborate with humans, which is why they frequently feature in animated programs. Drake, the head of the Orange League (not the Dragon Master), Lance of the original Elite Four, Iris, one of Ash’s traveling companions, and ultimately Ash, who acquired a newly-evolved Dragonite during an episode of Pokémon Journeys, are among the trainers that had a Dragonite.

Celebi (12)

1632813692_788_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

When you first meet Celebi, the first legendary Pokémon on our list, it seems to be more adorable than deadly. Celebi, despite its tiny size and fragility, is a highly strong Pokémon with incredible abilities, which is why it is on our list.

Celebi is a Psychic/Grass-type Pokémon that acts as the Ilex Forest’s protector. It first appeared in Generation II and was the protagonist of Celebi: The Voice of the Forest, although it has since appeared in many more anime series. It like woods and is often characterized as resembling a fairy, despite the fact that it is not a Fairy-type Pokémon.

Celebi has a number of intriguing abilities, which made it a popular target for various villains looking to exploit them. It has the capacity to cleanse any Shadow Pokémon it comes across in an instant, but it also has the ability to travel across time, which was a major narrative point in The Voice of the Forest. Despite its lack of physical strength, these abilities make it worthy of a spot on our list.

The Tower Duo (#11)

1632813692_76_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

The Tower Duo are the Johto region’s main Legendary Pokémon. They are Lugia and Ho-Oh, and they were the mascots of the Pokémon Gold and Silver video games, in which they made their Generation II debuts.

Lugia is a huge dragon-like Pokémon with dual Psychic and Flying types. Lugia can fly and utilizes its wings for both swimming and flight, despite the fact that it lives in the waters and is regarded as the “guardian of the seas.” Ho-Oh, often known as the “guardian of the sky,” is a Fire/Flying-type Pokémon with the appearance of a gigantic bird. They don’t develop from other Pokémon, and they don’t evolve into other Pokémon either.

Lugia is the trio master of the three Legendary birds (Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos) from Generation I, and Ho-Oh is the trio master of the three Legendary beasts (Entei, Raikou, and Suicune) from Generation II, as he is also responsible for their creation, according to the Pokémon world’s mythology.

Darkrai (10)

1632813693_344_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Darkrai is a strange Legendary Pokémon that dwells on Newmoon Island and is part of the Sinnoh region’s folklore. It was first introduced in Generation IV. It is both strong and fun, and it is notorious for giving people nightmares.

Although he has many outward characteristics of a Ghost-type Pokémon, Darkrai is a completely Dark-type Legendary Pokémon. He possesses the ability to bend reality and travel across other realms. Despite its little size, it is very strong, and in The Rise of Darkrai, it was even able to stave off a battle between the great Palkia and Dialga until Ash accomplished what he needed to do.

Darkrai forms the Lunar Duo with Cresselia, who resides on Fullmoon Island, and is often referred to as the Subconscious Duo because Darkrai can enter people’s and Pokémon’s dreams and give them nightmares, while Cresselia is in charge of happy dreams.

Regigigas (nine) Regigigas (nine) Regigiga

1632813694_902_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Regigigas, as far as he’s concerned, is a Legendary Pokémon who debuted in Generation IV. It is believed to have had a role in the formation of the Pokémon universe and is an important element of the Sinnoh region’s folklore. Regigigas is the legendary titans’ master (or giants).

Regigigas is a Legendary Pokémon of the Normal type. It does not develop from any other Pokémon and has no other forms, yet it has complete control over all Legendary Titans. It has the appearance of a golem and has certain aesthetic characteristics with the other titans (particularly the eyes), but it is ultimately distinct in that it does not represent any single Pokémon kind.

Regigigas is a powerful Pokémon with a massive stature that makes him one of the most intimidating Pokémon ever. It is believed to be so strong that it has the ability to drag and shift whole continents, which is linked to tales that it was involved in the creation of the Pokémon world as we know it.

8) Zekrom and Reshiram

1632813694_181_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Reshiram and Zekrom are both powerful individuals, and as members of the Tao three, they are paired together. We’ll discuss Kyurem, the final surviving member of the trio, later since he is somewhat stronger than these two (just as Rayquaza is stronger than Groudon and Kyogre).

Both Reshiram and Zekrom are Dragon Pokémon with two types. Reshiram, who represents the yang, is a dual Dragon/Fire-type Pokémon, while Zekrom represents the yin and is a dual Dragon/Electric-type Pokémon. They both appeared in Generation V and are part of the Unova region’s folklore. They are believed to have been built during a major battle in the area.

The two of them, like the other members of the trio, are natural rivals. They are not known to develop further, but they each have a unique form that is triggered by using the DNA Splicers on either of them and Kyurem, resulting in an Absofusion procedure that removes Reshiram or Zekrom from the party until the fusion is undone. When Reshiram is utilized, they will either become White Kyurem or Black Kyurem (when Zekrom is used).

7) The Trio of Light

1632813695_665_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

The Light Trio is a trio of Legendary Pokémon from the Alola region that was introduced in Generation VII. The Light Trio, according to Alolan mythology, is responsible for bringing light to the Alola area and creating the Z-Moves, which were prominent in the Generation VII games. Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma make up the trio. All three of them have the ability to construct Ultra Wormholes.

Solgaleo is a lion-like Pokémon with dual Psychic/Steel types. Lunala, a Psychic/Ghost-type Pokémon with a bat-like appearance, is its counterpart. They are both descendants of Cosmog, i.e. Cosmoem, and therefore belong to the Cosmog evolution line. Necrozma, on the other hand, is a Psychic Pokémon that cannot be evolved. There are no further evolutions for any of the three Pokémon, although the first two have one extra form each, while Necrozma has three.

Two of Necrozma’s three forms are fusions with other members of the Light Trio – Dusk Mane Necrozma, a Psychic/Steel-type fusion with Solgaleo using the N-Solarizer, and Dawn Wings Necrozma, a Psychic/Ghost-type fusion with Lunala using the N-Lunarizer – while his third form, Ultra Necrozma, is a

6) Kyurem

1632813696_329_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021

Kyurem, the last member of the Tao Trio, is a Legendary Pokémon debuted in Generation V that is very strong and deadly. It has been portrayed as Reshiram and Zekrom’s destructive counterpart.

Kyurem is a dual-type Pokémon that is particularly helpful in video games since it removes the Dragon-greatest type’s vulnerability (along with Fairy-type techniques) and symbolizes the lack of the yin and yang (so-called wuji), which explains its chaotic nature and the threat it typically poses. Kyurem’s domain is ice, and he has the ability to freeze everything he touches.

Others, both Pokémon and trainers, generally dread Kyurem as a Pokémon. Kyurem has two additional forms outside his basic form, which may be triggered by using the DNA Splicers on it and either Reshiram or Zekrom, resulting in a procedure known as Absofusion, which removes Reshiram or Zekrom from the party until the fusion is undone. After then, it will either be White Kyurem (with Reshiram) or Black Kyurem (with Zekrom).

Groudon and Kyogre are the fifth and sixth Pokémon, respectively (Primal Forms)

1632813696_51_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021Groudon and Kyogre are primal Groudon and Kyogre, respectively.

Groudon and Kyogre, the creators and lords of land and water, are the remaining members of the Weather Trio. They are Legendary Pokémon who were originally debuted in Generation III and have subsequently been featured in both films and anime.

Groudon is a Ground-type Pokémon that is regarded as the creator and king of all of Pokémon’s territory. Kyogre, on the other hand, is the king of the oceans and a Water-type Pokémon. Groudon and Kyogre are passionate competitors that battle often due to their continuous desire for dominance; this is why Rayquaza interfered during their conflict since he was the only one strong enough to stop them from destroying the planet. They are old Pokémon that have been dormant for a long time but may be reawakened with the use of certain materials.

Groudon and Kyogre have gone through the process of Primal Reversion in the revamped Generation III games, which allegedly awakened their old, primal abilities. A Red (Groudon) or Blue (Kyogre) Orb may be used to awaken these variants. Primal Groudon becomes a dual Ground/Fire-type Pokémon, whereas Primal Kyogre stays a pure Water-type Pokémon.

Rayquaza (#4)

1632813697_236_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021Rayquaza is a fictional character from the anime series Rayquaza.

Rayquaza debuted in Generation III as a dual Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon. He is the Weather Trio’s internal Trio Master and the only Pokémon capable of controlling and subduing Kyogre and Groudon. He is the mythical king of the sky, capable of controlling the atmosphere’s weather.

Rayquaza is very strong and, in some ways, the defender of Earth, as shown in the film Destiny Deoxys, when he battled a Deoxys he mistook for an invader. Later in the anime, a Shiny version emerged. Rayquaza is more powerful than Groudon and Kyogre, his two equivalents, despite the fact that Pokémon trios are typically equal in strength.

Rayquaza now has the ability to Mega Evolve in the revamped Generation III video games. He is currently thought to be the first Pokémon to ever have Mega Evolved.

3) Mewtwo and Mew (The Mew Duo)

1632813698_403_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021Mewtwo and Mew

Mew Duo is a fan name for the Pokémon Mew and Mewtwo, who were released in Generation I. Mew is a Legendary Pokémon, while Mewtwo is a Mythical Pokémon.

Mew is the ancestor of every Pokémon, and he is the one who gave birth to new species. Before Mew was found in South America, experts believed he was simply a myth. He had a significant part in the original Pokémon film and appears in many sequels. He is a Psychic-type Pokémon with the ability to learn any attack.

Mewtwo, on the other hand, is a clone of Mew produced by Team Rocket from a portion of Mew’s DNA. He was developed to be used as a weapon by Team Rocket, but he grew self-aware and fled his creators, developing a hatred for humanity and a desire to avenge them. He is also a significant character in the original film and has appeared in many sequels. Mewtwo is a Psychic Pokémon with two Mega Evolutions: Mewtwo X (a dual Psychic/Fighting-type Pokémon) and Mewtwo Y (a dual Psychic/Fighting-type Pokémon), both of which have featured in the anime.

2) The Trio of Creation

1632813698_740_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021Palkia, Giratina, and Dialga, from left to right.

The Creation Trio is a trio of Legendary Pokémon created by Arceus and introduced as part of the Sinnoh mythology in Generation IV. They are all very strong, and since their abilities are entirely identical, they are lumped together as “one Pokémon.”

Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina are all dual-type Dragon Pokémon, with Palkia being of the Water/Dragon type, Dialga of the Steel/Dragon type, and Giratina of the Ghost/Dragon type. Each of them was given its own domain to rule when they were formed. Due to her aggressive temperament, Palkia was granted control of space and Dialga of time, while Giratina was exiled to the Distortion World, where she controls antimatter in a world where time does not flow and space is totally twisted. They were all included in the Diamond and Pearl film trilogy.

Despite their status as competitors, Palkia and Dialga are not usually aggressive and will only strike if they are threatened, as shown in the films. Giratina, on the other hand, is aggressive and prone to wreaking devastation for no apparent reason. The Lake Guardians, who were also created by Arceus, are tasked with soothing Palkia and Dialga whenever they get angry.

1) Arceus

1632813699_807_20-Strongest-Pokemon-Of-All-Time-Ranked-2021In the film Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Arceus is portrayed by Arceus.

Arceus is the deity of the Pokémon universe, the first and perhaps the final Pokémon ever created. He lives in his own unique planet (known as Arceus’ World) and is often credited with co-creating the whole Pokémon universe with a few other Legendary Pokémon; Arceus is a Mythical Pokémon known as “The Original One.” He is a Sinnoh-based Pokémon that was originally released in Generation IV.

Arceus is a Normal-type Pokémon with no known evolutions. However, while carrying a Plate or a particular Z-Stone, Arceus may change form and type. Although the entire extent of his abilities was never known, he is omnipotent and omniscient. In the film Arceus and the Jewel of Life, he had a significant part, and he also made a cameo appearance in another film.

He is credited with the creation of the Creation Trio and the Lake Guardians, two Legendary Pokémon groups that had a significant impact on the evolution of the Pokémon world. This is why he is regarded as the Trio Master of both groups (a fan name for a Pokémon that can manage different trios in the series).

Fun fact: In an episode of House, M.D., Gregory House, the main character, mocks a member of his team by claiming that Arceus did, in fact, create the world. You may view it for yourself here:

Pokémon Go’s most powerful Pokémon

Slaking is the most powerful Pokémon in Pokémon Go based on Combat Power. Attack, Defense, and Stamina are the three components that make up a Pokémon’s Combat Power. Pokemon with more CP points have larger multiples of their basic stats than those with less. As a result, even at equal CP levels, the Pokémon with higher basic stats would be more strong.

Mega Gengar EX is the most powerful Pokémon card. The Phantom Gate attack of this Ghost Pokémon from the Phantom Forces expansion may imitate any opponent move for one Psychic energy plus any two others. With the tiny retreat cost, he can also be readily replaced.

Non-Legendary Pokemon with the Most Power

The Non-Legendary Pokemon Dragapult is the most powerful. Dragapult has a total of 600 stats and is of the Dragon/Ghost type. It is a quick and fragile Pokemon with a strong attack but poor defense and low HP. Cursed Body, Infiltrator, and Clear Body are three excellent skills that Dragapult has.

The strongest pokemon non legendary is a list of the 20 strongest Pokémon from all time.
