The 29th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film is an international animated film festival which presents productions from around the world. The event has been taking place since 1948 and each year concentrates on a different theme throughout its eleven-day program, attracting over 1 million visitors.

Dear Asian animators, through December 1st, 2021, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (Germany) is accepting animated films.
ITFS was founded in 1982 and is now one of the world’s most prominent events for animated cinema in all of its forms, including its intersections with visual effects, architecture, art, design, music, science, gaming, and other disciplines. With the greatest of high-quality animations and interactive works, it draws up to 100,000 people and industry experts from all over the globe every year.
ITFS is organized by Film-und Medienfestival gGmbH, which was founded in 2000 and has made it their mission to promote high-quality media material and develop great film and media events in order to accomplish a long-term strengthening of the Stuttgart region’s creative industries.
General Guidelines: – The festival welcomes all types of animated films, including computer animations and live-action/animation hybrids. – Films completed after October 2020 are accepted into the festival. – Films should not be longer than 30 minutes. – The Young Animation competition for student films accepts any animated film created by students and alumni of universities of cinema, art, and media studies, as well as educational institutions. – English subtitles are required for films with non-English dialogue. – ShortFilmDepot charges a submission fee of one stamp. – December 1st, 2021 – March 1st, 2022 – Deadline: December 1st, 2021 – Notification Date: March 1st, 2022
